Liposuction
Even though diet and exercise may dramatically improve appearance. Some areas in the face and neck often do not respond like the rest of the body. For these resistant areas, liposuction may be the answer. The area most often involved is under the chin in the upper portion of the neck.
Before Surgery
To better understand your overall health, we will evaluate your medical history prior to surgery. in addition, a complete examination of your face and neck is made in order to decide the most effective liposuction sites. All issues and concerns will be discussed.
The areas that will be treated are marked and digital photographs are taken in order to determine the amount of improvement after surgery.
The Procedure
Liposuction is the removal of unsightly fat deposits via a small suction device. The small device (straw size) enables the fat removal with minimum scarring.
Post-Operative Information
After the operation patients may experience slight bruising around the area that quickly fades. Normal activities can be performed immediately. Depending on the site and amount of liposuction, Drs. Holmes and Sclar may suggest the use of support garment during the healing period.
